A notable example of our constant pursuit for balancing tradition and creativity is our master ice cream maker's pride. Our peppermint is unlike any other because it is 100% natural, combining fresh milk and in natura peppermint leaves in a straightforward process. We use no flavoring, food coloring, or preservatives. In order to extract the natural principles and the characteristic flavor of menthol, we wash the leaves one by one and let them steep in milk for a day. We grind a few leaves into our gelato to give it an extra kick of flavor. In the end, you have a delicious, natural peppermint cream.
MASCARPONE
Originally created between the late 16th century and the early 17th century, Mascarpone is a sweet Italian cheese. It is known for being the main ingredient in tiramisu. 100% Italian, our recipe honors the tradition of this dessert and gave rise to a delicious, mild-flavored, and irresistible gelato. It is great with cookies, cakes, pies, and panettone.
MACADAMIA
Rich and creamy, the Macadamia flavor is prepared by grinding this delicious, nutrient-rich, and butter-flavored Australian nut and mixing it with our organic milk and Jersey cow milk blend.
Macadamias are rich in fiber, B complex vitamins, and have high concentrations of thiamine, pyridoxine, niacin, riboflavin, and folic acid. In fact, they are a complete, healthy food that should be part of your daily diet.
GRAN TORINO
An incredibly special recipe made with fresh milk, pure cocoa, and whole hazelnuts imported from Piemonte. Gran Torino is a sophisticated version of the traditional Gianduia flavor. It is by no chance that we look for the best ingredients, such as the hazelnuts that come from Piemonte (“Nocciola Gentile Trilobata dele Langhe”), which are considered the best in the world and even have a seal to verify their origin and avoid fraud. The flavor was developed by our Master Gelataio and got its name at our first shop on the Oscar Freire street. Sergio, a dear client and patron of ours, suggested the name as a tribute to Turin, the capital of Piemonte.
CHEESECAKE WITH BANANA
Using only milk, cream cheese, and crunchy tidbits of cookies, the cheesecake with banana flavor is prepared exactly as the recipe specifies. As the finishing touch for our homemade caramel, bananas are added to the freshly creamed gelato.
PURISSIMO CIOCCOLATO AMARO
The sugar-free version of our famous Chocolate Zero Latte.
“Puríssimo” (very pure), because we only use the best cocoa beans from the most specialized regions of the world: The fantastic cocoa from Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Venezuela.
Our recipe calls only for 100% pure chocolate, cocoa, water, and stevia instead of sugar. Pure and intense flavor for chocoholics who suffer from lactose and sugar intolerance.
PAPAYA Stevia
With its bright orange color and unmistakable flavor, papayas can transport you to tropical countries, especially Brazil, a destination desired by Italians and Europeans alike. Everyone knows the delicious taste of papaya; not everyone is aware, however, of the fact that its reputation for aiding digestion comes from a powerful digestive enzyme it has in it called papain. Additionally, it is also rich in vitamins, protein, and fiber. Our Papaya Gelato is naturally healthy, creamy, and tasty, as it only contains natural ingredients and selected fruits.
Enjoy this sugar-free and milk-free version.
Papaya season: January, February, March, April, May, August, September, October, and November
MARACUJÁ (PASSION FRUIT) con Stevia
Everyone knows that passion fruit calm s you down, but this delicious sour South American fruit does much more than that. Rich in antioxidants and potassium, it helps prevent premature aging and to fight high blood pressure. In addition, passion fruit is also rich in fiber, which makes it a powerful ally in the digestive process. And there is more: Each fruit contains about half of our entire daily vitamin C needs. It is not for nothing that its name, derived from Tupi, means “food inside the gourd.” Our gelato is as natural as possible, since we only use the classic Italian recipe that mixes water, selected fruits, and minimal amounts of sugar to make it. By doing so, we value the properties and flavor of passion fruit.
Enjoy this sugar-free and milk-free version.
Sweet passion fruit season: January, April, July, August, and December.
