MIRTILLI

Blueberries have an indisputable nutritional value, as they are rich in vitamins, minerals, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus, among others. They are known as the king of antioxidants and the fruit of youth, as they appear at the top of the ranking of foods with the highest antioxidant content. For this reason, there are laboratories all over the world investigating Blueberry’s benefits as a medicinal plant, from which almost everything can be used: Flowers, leaves, fruit, and roots.

To preserve the principles of this spectacular fruit, Leonardo's recipe uses only fresh fruit and water; in fact, we do not even remove its skin.

MARACUJÁ (PASSION FRUIT)

Everyone knows that passion fruit calm s you down, but this delicious sour South American fruit does much more than that. Rich in antioxidants and potassium, it helps prevent premature aging and to fight high blood pressure. In addition, passion fruit is also rich in fiber, which makes it a powerful ally in the digestive process. And there is more: Each fruit contains about half of our entire daily vitamin C needs. It is not for nothing that its name, derived from Tupi, means “food inside the gourd.” Our gelato is as natural as possible, since we only use the classic Italian recipe that mixes water, selected fruits, and minimal amounts of sugar to make it. By doing so, we value the properties and flavor of passion fruit.

Sweet passion fruit season: January, April, July, August, and December.

MANGA (MANGO)

Mango is such a Brazilian fruit that it is strange to think that it is actually native to Asia and that it is the national fruit of India. Rich in fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, mangoes also have enzymes that aid digestion and help soothe an upset stomach. With a vibrant color and a flavor much appreciated around the world, it is believed that mangoes are the most consumed fruit on the planet! And nothing better than enjoying the natural, preservative-free flavor of the fruit in a refreshing and 100% Italian recipe.

Mango season: January, February, October, November, and December.

MANDARINO

Feeling the smell in our laboratory when it is time to peel this fruit is a unique experience! Particularly when we are talking about tangerines!

The intense citrus scent that permeates the kitchen hits you and explodes in your mouth when you take your first spoonful!

We prepare our gelato au naturel, using more than half a kilo of fruit per kilo of gelato and minimal amounts of sugar, since the fruit already has a lot of fructose in it. This also helps preserve the health benefits of tangerine, mainly aiding the immune system to fend off infections such as flu and colds. This fruit also improves digestion and intestinal transit because it is rich in vitamin A, C, fiber, and potassium.

Tangerines are found to improve digestion and control diabetes when consumed with their pomace, which is a very fiber-rich part of the fruit.

LIMONE CON ZENZERO

Both ginger and lemon have spicy, sour tastes and are widely used in cooking and in health care. Combining them creates a healthy blend that is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, and is also widely used to accelerate metabolism and increase the feeling of satiety. This gelato is great as a starter for lunch and dinner.

Lemon season: April, May, August, October, and November.

LIMONE CON MENTA

The perfect combination: Lemon and peppermint leaves au naturel!

Lemon is perhaps the most versatile of all fruits, and it has been present on the tables of the peoples of the Mediterranean ever since forever. Due to its high vitamin C concentration, it is a powerful remedy for colds.

Apart from its flavor, several studies have shown that peppermint has a lot of health benefits too: It contains calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium, vitamins A, B, C, and D, as well as proteins and menthol, the main element in its composition that accounts for the herb’s freshness.

Some studies assert that it can help ward off diseases, improve the beauty of the body, help you to lose weight, and promote the health of your skin and hair.

Enjoy this super refreshing flavor that only has water, lemon juice, peppermint leaves, and a little unrefined sugar to temper the fruit's sourness in its recipe.

LIMONE CON BASILICO

Basil is famous as an ingredient in salads, sauces, and pizza, but few people are aware of the fact that its tea is also as a great homemade recipe to ease stomachaches. Together with lemon, in addition to increasing satiety, it also helps keep you fit. A careful balance is the secret to this gelato's great taste, which enhances the sourness of the lemon and the characteristic basil flavor. It reminds you of the Mediterranean like nothing else!

Lemon season: April, May, August, October, and November.
